From Minneapolis to Milan

Ahhhh fall...I love it. We even had a few snow flurries in the air today. It's much easier to love when you know they won't stick and that it will be back up in the 60's by the weekend.
One of the best reasons for fall is the fashions of course!! Great colours, prints, warmth...it's my favourite fashion season, so by default it's Tennyson's too!
Today was chilly enough for one of her (my) favourite dresses to be worn to church, which is course means after church photo shoot (thankfully the swollen eye was gone)!!

And with cold weather, the need for warm outerwear arises... T can't wait to wear her adorable warmsie from Melissa, but until then this will keep her warm!

Night Time Mysteries

How does one go to bed looking like this...(not last night's bedtime shot, but a typical night time look)

only to wake up sporting this new look?

Doctor Doctor Gimme the News

Well, it's that even numbered month again, so you know what that means... Dr's visit! Yay!!
Tennyson loves going to the Doctor. OK, probably not, but who knows what she loves since she is only 4 months old!
Here are the latest stats:
Head = 41cm; 53rd percentile
Length = 26 inches; 97th percentile
Weight = 12 lbs 3 oz; 20th percentile
How Mark and I got a long, lean baby....is one of the world's great mysteries. My theory is she will probably end up peaking for height at about age 3. OK, maybe later than that, like when I did at about age 13. Time will tell.
Other than her weight being on the low end, she is doing very well. She gets to start on rice cereal to see if we can get her some more calories...we'll let you know how that goes!
We're also seeing how many prescriptions a 4 month old can have written in their short lifespan...my goodness! Someone needs to do something about drugs that only have name brand options and no generic. The prices are absurd!
Since T is now a rolling machine, the bumper pads have come out, the swaddling stops tonight (she'll probably end up sleeping with her feet in one hand and one hand in her mouth, that's if she goes to sleep at all), so she will probably require many visits from Mom and Dad to flip her back over to her back since she definitely prefers rolling from her back to her stomach. She's not quite mastered the whole rolling back onto her back yet.
Here are some new pics of the little one.

Welcome Back

Well we survived..just barely perhaps, but survived nonetheless (I am secretly hoping "nonetheless" will be T's first word).
T had her first flight and did amazingly well on the way out...not so well on the way home, but not super bad, I guess she just wanted to show off her new squawking skills to everyone on the plane.
T's favourite part of the trip was her first hotel stay and seeing the mountains of Jackson Hole. OK, like she even knew there were mountains there, but she'll never know we made this stuff up! She even got a cute little hat to commemorate the trip and Mom got some fudge!

Next we were off to IF to hang with Grandma and Grandpa Smith and all the cousins and aunts and uncles for a few days while Dad went to a wedding and went fishing with his brothers and on his own for a few days. We met the newest little cousin Addie...we think T likes her.

Then it was off to SLC for a day to visit with some old (for Mom)friends and some new friends for T. (Melissa, you need to send me the picture from the Gateway..if the lady got more than the stroller wheels in it!!)
We came home with most of what we left with (always have to leave something behind) and even a few things we didn't take with us (lovely head cold for Mom).
Now we're back to hanging out but in chillier weather. Summer has definitely left...and Fall is here. We're off to see the colours next weekend and to pick up Grandma and Grandpa Smith when they come for a visit.
Also, stay tuned for the trip to the Apple Orchard/Pumpkin Patch/Standard Fall outing to come soon!
