Our first dressing for Halloween was for Tennyson's pre-K Halloween parade. All the classes that morning parade through the hall for the parents/grandparents to see. It takes about 5 minutes but it is cute!
At home before the parade
The parade!
The Saturday before Halloween we went to a quick trick or treat around a neighbourhood strip mall. The stores hand out candy and the kids have fun walking around, looking at all the other costumes and getting a free pumpkin at the end!! They both started the morning out wearing their respective head pieces, but it didn't last too long.
The gnome (minus the beard...it was a battle he was not going to let me win)
Strawberry
One more attempt at the hat..let's just say it didn't go well.
That same night we had our church Halloween party and trunk or treat. I didn't actually get any pictures at the party, but I got a few before we left. By now the Boy knew what the hat meant...and it became even more difficult.
You would think by now I would just give up, but no, Mark wanted a family picture on Halloween before we went trick or treating. The beard would not be had, so we tried to get the hat on...here's what we got.
Mark was the robot head guy from the LMFAO videos and I was Little Red Riding Hood.
Truman was a quick study trick or treating this year. He would march right up to the door, push his way to the front, throw his pumpkin on the step and knock on the door. Once the door was opened, he would quickly try to go in the house, not caring about the candy at all. And if the house had a dog, oh he was in heaven!! We went out wit some friends this year and had a great time! The kids got way too much candy, luckily they are too young to realize how quickly it will disappear!
