Dance Dance

I will wager a guess that Miss T is more a fan of my music than of Mark's, but maybe that's just because she hasn't yet learned the proper mosh pit etiquette. Not sure she'll be on the next season of So You Think You Can Dance, but give her a few years, and a few classes (unless she's inherited her Dad's dance abilities and then no amount of classes will help her) and you just never know!

July Meanderings

Ok, well the pictures are out of order, but everyone need s little backwards-ness in their lives right? Here's the latest in the on-goings of T.

Riding the Carousel at the Mall of America...we think she liked it, but she never really smiled a whole lot while on the ride.

Mom, Dad and T at her first movie...Jimmy Neutron. The MoA does free family movies on Saturday mornings, so we thought it would be a good way to test her; she lasted about an hour. Even after an atomic meltdown, complete with blood curdling screams, after seeing the real life Jimmy Neutron before the movie.

Sliding at the park. Miss T is getting very good at climbing up the slide and then letting go to slide back down. She is quite the little slide lover.

Unfortunately, that means the swing suffers. She just doesn't seem to be that into swinging anymore. Poor swings. Doesn't she look so grown up in her little jeans and T-shirt??

Having a little elephant loving before bed in her matching elephant pjs and slippers (thanks Aunt Mary!!). T sleeps with her little elephant every night...well every night she doesn't throw it out of the crib.

Crashing after a hard day...I think she has another leg in there somewhere...

Mmmmm, nothing beats red onions for dinner. She wouldn't eat the mashed potatoes, but she chowed down on the onions and pickles quite contently, until her intelligent father rubbed her balloon on her head and popped it scaring the poop out of everyone in the restaurant.

We think we should enroll her in karate lessons...what do you think?

Well, that's the last month or so in review...backwards. Seems like it's been a busy month, but it hasn't really...just busy moments. We are glad that she will finally let me put her hair up so we can see her pretty little eyes!! We'll have some good pics and stories in a couple weeks when we get back from our travels. I am guessing horror stories from road tripping with a one year old. Hey, maybe we could make that into a book!!

Happiness Is

• a 12 hour night of sleep
• a 2 hour nap, which survived being put in and taken out of, a car seat
• 2 pigtails never being yanked out the entire day

Progress folks, progress. Although who knows what tomorrow will bring.

June in Review

So June has come and gone and here we are.

We've hung out, travelled west, barfed a few times, visited with friends and family....a pretty eventful month. T has definitely had quite the travel experiences this past trip and some very late nights. we're very thankful she is a happy baby other

wise it would have been miserable.

T had a few firsts while we were gone; she went swimming and loved it, barfed and was as happy as can be after, jumped on a trampoline, ate an orange creamie, tried black olives, and various other things. She had a great time visiting her grandparents, aunts and uncles and all of her cousins. Since we've been back, she's also had a few firsts; she had her first 12 hour night (SO nice!), she sampled a sno-cone, ate a croissant, and got her first summer cold (thanks Idaho dryness and airplane rides).

And just for fun, here is T taking a face plant into the sprinkler at the spray park in Rexburg. No one was hurt in the filming of this video. She really did enjoy the park, we even went on the carousel...no good pictures though as it is hard to take a picture while you're trying to make sure the kid doesn't fall off the horse!

We shall see what the rest of July brings us....

Good Eats

T is a funny little kid. There isn't too much she doesn't like, food wise, but she definitely has her favourites.

We have yet to eat a fruit that she doesn't like; bananas, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, mangoes, kiwis, oranges, watermelon, cherries...

There are not quite as many vegetables but the ones she likes, she really likes. Oddly enough, most of them are green. Her favourite is peas. Cooked, cold, frozen...any way she'll eat them. She tends to pick out all the green veggies when we give her mixed vegetables. Lima beans, beans, asparagus, zucchini. She'll eat carrots and corn somewhat, but if there is green on her tray, forget about it!

Cheese is still a staple, and yogurt could be eaten by the gallon if I let her. She enjoys baked penne, veggie straws, mac and cheese, pickles, lemons, limes...and we discovered while out to dinner, she will even chow down on some red onions.

Her most recent discoveries are sno cones (she LOVES them!! She would eat them all night if I let her), smoothies and last night we made ghetto pizzas (on tortilla shells) and she ate an entire one with mushrooms and zucchini on it!

I really think this girl could eat all day if we laid out a buffet for her. While she has put on some weight, I don't know where this kid puts it!!

We did give her a sour patch kid...again, loved it, couldn't get enough.

I am trying to think if there is anything that she out and out hates, and I can't think of anything! She doesn't seem to be as big a fan of meat, but I think she might need to get used to the texture. She has been eating more of it lately, like the ground beef in the baked penne and the bourbon chicken we had the other night.

She is a nut and loves her food.
