One Month

And smilin' away!  Sometimes it is hard to capture.  He has been smiling about a week or so, but never when the camera was nearby.  But he is getting pretty regular at it now, so we were able to catch a few shots.  My favourite is the "browsie" imitation (all you Amazing Race watchers will know what that is!).  He sure is a cute little guy in those moments of contentment.  And what's with all the blondness??

Freeze Frame

I had a friend come over and take some pictures of the kids last week...of course Truman didn't cooperate (imagine that!) so we didn't get a lot, but she did manage to get a few of him awake and calm.  After she left he was as calm as calm can be (of course) so I snapped a few myself.
Here are a few of the pictures.

First Snips

We took little Miss T for her first haircut last weekend.  It wasn't the traumatic experience I thought it would be. She sat ever so politely in her police car and played with a little magnetic car the stylist gave her.  Every now and again she would glance up at the movie playing (Scooby Doo) but for the most part she kept her eyes on the car. We just got the ends trimmed to try to even up the length, most people probably wouldn't even notice a difference, but with that perfect little ringlet snack in the middle of the back of her hair...every thing looks like it is different lengths.  For some reason the middle back likes to curl up but not the sides.  I have noticed since we cut it that there is a little more curl to the rest of her hair, but not like that ringlet!
Anyway, here are the pictures for documentation.

Before
After and all styled up!

It will probably be another two years before we get her haircut again!!  If it would just finish growing in so that it wasn't so crazy...then we would have something to work with!  Oh well, messy hair and all, she is still the cutest little girl we've ever had! :o)

Swinging Monkeys

Last weekend Mark decided it was about time to put the hammock up.  I don't know how many opportunities there will be to use it, but at least it's up and ready to go when there is time!  Tennyson decided she needed to try it out too.  Thankfully there was some sort of chainsaw blaring a few houses down, so no one could hear her screaming!  Some screams were happy screams, some were screams of terror, as evidenced by the videos below.  Whether she was screaming in laughter or terror, she had a great time playing with Dad and is always sad when she can't go play on the hammock because of it being wet from the sprinklers!

Picturitis

Just some random shots from the last few days.  There hasn't been a whole lot going on around here lately.  Probably won't be for awhile.  If I can find a time when the older one isn't crying because she didn't get to turn off the light and the little one isn't crying just because...maybe we can get some real pictures taken!  But don't hold your breath.

Trying to eat the couch..and a big sister trying to smother a little brother.
Ahhh, some alone time.  Darn it, now she is trying to strangle me!
Showing off my Hollywood style and having a little down time with a monkey named George.
Just being cute.
