While I find the peeing pictures quite hilarious, I know some family probably want new pictures or some sort of update.
Sadly, there isn't a lot going on to update about. We've had a couple sick weeks, so we've been indoors. And no one, not even a 20 month old wants their picture taken when they are sick. But we seem to be back to "normal" now.
We've been watching a lot of Olympics around here and Tennyson has deemed hockey to be football, no matter how many times we get her to say hockey. She also calls curling football too, so we're working on it. She has learned that when Canada scores in hockey and Mom yells, she runs over for the celebratory lift into the air. Poor Dad hasn't been able to cheer too much. Well, not in the women's hockey game anyway.
She has also become a little copycat and wants to try everything and do everything on her own. She's discovered how to open one of the bedroom doors and tried desperately to open the bathroom door, but that knob is a little tougher, so she hasn't mastered it yet.
Now that she's healthy again, she is the chattiest chatterbox in the world! Dad has yet to become fluent in Tennyson but we're trying to teach him. She likes saying noo-noo (noodles), nah (snack), uppie, sit, sheep (thankfully those two don't sound like some inappropriate words), read (which she says 1043289702347 times a day), shoo shoo (soother), coat, Amy, Elmo, moo moo (Muno from Yo Gabba Gabba), show, and well, she will basically say anything you ask her to, it's just a toss up as to what it's going to sound like. She has tried to say her name a couple of times, but it sounds more like ten-ten. Close.
At almost 21 months, she is a little busy body. She still doesn't play too well, or too long on her own, but she is getting better and will sit and play for 5 minutes or so, but as soon as she sees you start to do something, she runs over to take a look.
She has learned to take pictures with the camera...not sure I like that, but what can you do? She also loves to dip things. Today she was dipping her mango pieces into ketchup. Whatever gets the to eat, right?
Her hair is getting a little crazy, but I am not sure I want to cut it. Thankfully she will let me put things in it (for the most part) and she will keep them in (mostly). So for now, she will continue on with the mullet outgrow that she currently has. I feel bad, both Mark and I have cowlicks, Mark's worse than mine, and sadly I think she has inherited Mark's. Hopefully as her hair grows they will tame themselves.
I guess the next exciting thing coming up for our little T is a trip downtown in 2 weeks for the LIVE Yo Gabba Gabba show. I think she will love it, or lose total interest in it after 10 minutes.
Until then, I will leave you with a few pictures from the last little while - picture taking has been a rare occurrence in our house lately.
