Fun at the Smith's!

So here is just a peek at what's been going on in our neck of the woods lately.

Tennyson said she hurt her lip and wanted a band-aid...I obliged.
"Vacuuming".  In her two sizes too small snowsuit from last winter.

Hanging out while his sister goes nuts.
Being nuts.
A new face, only a mother could love.
Attempting cereal for the first time.
Not sure if this is a look of "yum!"  or "what in the world is this stuff??"
 Swinging and sleeping.
 All ready for George!

 George!!
 Trying out new hairdo's.

A photographer is born!  (Following pics courtesy of Miss T.)

And finally...just hanging out with friends (can you see her?)

Status Update

4 months in....here's where we stand:
Weight: 12 pounds 7 ounces/7.5 percentile
Height: 27 inches/ 97 percentile
Head: 42cm/ 42 percentile

Another long 'n' lean one.  I don't know where these kids get it from!
Other than the skinny minniness, Truman is a happy, healthy little guy who now gets to have formula, rice cereal and in a couple weeks move onto to veggies and fruit.  Something has to fatten this one up!

mmmm fingers
 here starts the pout
 just kidding!
 nope, here it is!
I don't think he likes Cookie
 Ahhhh, that's better.
When Truman has been fed, he is a happy, fun little guy.  He loves to watch his sister run around like crazy.  He loves having the Wheels on the bus sung to him.  His favourite chew toy is his hand(s), and kind of likes the crinkly elephant head.  He much prefers to be held than to sit in his chair, swing or bumbo, but will if he has to for a short amount of time.  He is always on the go, legs moving like he is running away from wild dogs!  He is a rolling machine and will start as soon as you lay him down.  He is a good night sleeper but doesn't seem to enjoy naps during the day.  You definitely have to walk, rock, jump, swing and dance this guy to sleep, none of this drift off to sleep baby thing for him!  He is still sleeping in his car seat but we are going to try to get him into his crib.  It will mean a few long nights, but the kid can't sleep in a car seat when he is 14!
We sure love having him in our family even if he does put the kibosh on shopping trips, car rides and going out.  It's alright...his smile (and pout) will melt your heart, so it's worth it!
He'll be back to the Doctor in two weeks just so he can check his weight, so we will see if all this extra food he gets makes a difference!

October Visit

The kidlets and I decided to head north for a visit last month...Halloween got in the way of letting everyone see all of the pictures and fun!  I know you have all been sitting on the edge of your seats.
I keep you waiting no longer.

Watching the geese at Fort Whyte

Hanging with the animals at Fort Whyte

 Being silly

 Playing with rocks
 Tent living
 The Fam (most of it)
 Tuckered out
 Truman found a new toy
 Having Fondue with the family

 Playing
 Eating cheese with Grandpa
 Reading with Chance
 Cousin Janna
 Grandma
 Grandpa
We had a lovely time...didn't do too much, but the T's enjoyed having people to play with and to hold them, other than Mom.  Tennyson was sad to come home, but I am pretty sure the dog was glad when we left!

Halloween

Here are the kiddies all ready for Halloween fun!
Curious George
Foofa
Waiting our turn at the parade of Trick or Treaters at the nearby strip mall.
The town beside us, Anoka (Halloween capital of the world!), holds a 5K run before their annual Halloween parade.  A lot of the runners dress up, here are a couple cool entires I saw.
A bowling ball and pins
 Indiana Jones and his crew
 Elvi!
 Watching the parade
That evening we went to our church party.  They had dinner, games, a scary story and trunk or treating.  A good time was had by all.  Except for our little Foofa during one of the games..she was a wee bit little for it and got scared by all the kids swarming her trying to pop her orange balloon!
George and his pal Giraffe
 Our crew

Then on to the big night.
The pumpkins....blurry, but you get the picture.  We had a kitty and a spider.
 Foofa all ready to go!

Foofa and George, just hanging out.

George decided he wasn't a huge fan of this dressing up, taking pictures thing.

The day was a hit!  Foofa loved walking from house to house and kept asking to go to more houses.  George was a trooper and fell asleep about 3 houses into the fun.  I may have to take them trick or treating every night because as I wrote this at 7:35AM, they are both still asleep!!  Maybe walking and candy are the answers to a peaceful night of sleep!
