Thankfully she hasn't tried to steal food from my mouth, but it might be close! She gets very excited and animated when you bring food near her. Anything you're eating she wants. She will grab your plate, your fork, the napkin, anything that she thinks will get her the food. One night she almost had my taco, but I stopped her just as she got a handful of sour cream and salsa; she is a quick one! She's now 10 months old and getting more independent every day. She is more curious than you'd imagine and she is intrigued by every noise, sound and person that comes across her path. She would probably go without sleep if she had an audience...I don't think she likes to miss the party! As much as she loves people watching, if any of those people have a moustache, beard or a combination of the two...she will probably stick out that lower lip and let the tears fly. For some reason she has always been a bit weary of people with facial hair. She'll warm up to you, but it will take her a bit (Sorry Grandpa!)
She's also taken to growling. Just small, little, raspy growls and grunts. Not quite sure why or when this started but we noticed one night as she crawled around we could hear this low, little grunt...sure enough it was our little T.
I think she will be walking soon, but then again maybe not. She does love to motor around the house, crawl up the steps into the kitchen and explore. Luckily we haven't had too many mishaps and she hasn't figured out how to come back down the two steps, but she sure loves to take off and follow you around if you leave the room.
She sure is a lot of fun and it is amazing to see more of her personality come out as she discovers new things like magazines (to rip apart!), Kleenex (to shred!), keys (to eat!) and anything else she can get her little mitts on!
Now that the weather has warmed up we are waiting for the ducks to come back to the pond across from our house so we can take her over and throw breadcrumbs at them. They will come right out of the pond onto the trail, inches from your feet...I think she is going to love it!
I also think she is definitely going to be able to touch her tongue to her nose!!
