This year we decided to have a pumpkin. I'm not sure when the last time I carved a pumpkin was, but with T being a little older this year we thought it might be fun for her. We were wrong. Like everything else, it didn't seem to hold her attention too long. Just long enough to shove her hand inside and then to look at the finished product.
For my first non Jack O'Lantern pumpkin face, I have to admit it turned out pretty decently.
We had a little church party the other night. They had some of the rooms decorated by the youth and they were handing out candy to the little kids. They also had lots of fun games in the gym for the kids to play and win toys and baked goods!! T was adorable, of course, in her costume. We managed to get a picture or two of her in it before we left. It is quite the challenge these days to get her to stand in one spot and smile...even sort of smile. She usually will make a run towards you for the camera, or if she does stand in one spot, she will bend over and try to lift her shirt up, or make some random cheesy face.Either way the Halloween pictures will have to wait...I am hoping to get some more on Saturday, we might take her to the MOA (Mall of America for non-Minnesotans) and to the Halloween celebrations in Anoka (Halloween capitol of the world apparently). It's just a mile from our house. So we should have lots to keep us busy, including of course, the obligatory stop at some houses for candy T won't be eating!!
