The first of many parties to come, is over.
I think it went well, not that a two year old would know the difference, right?
She had lots of friends to play with, food to eat and gifts to open. Sounds like a good party to me!! Although, do parents ever think kids party are a good time? Only when you're not the parent planning it! :o)
The cake was a labour of love...and ice cream cake would have been so much easier to buy, but I enjoyed making it and I think T enjoyed eating it and saying, "My Foofa cake!!"
Not sure we will do a party every year, but I thought it would be fun and since there was no family around this year to have cake with, it would have been pretty sad with just the three of us.
Here are a couple pictures of the cake and from the party.
She was very excited with all of her gifts, and was even super excited by some of the tissue paper!! She is a very expressive kid. Her Grandma sent her a gift card to her favourite store....Target. When she saw it, Mark asked her what store it was for, she looked at him with the biggest grin on her face and yelled, "TARGET!" I think she will enjoy picking something out. Or just holding on to the card with the puppy on it.
Her other Grandma and Grandpa were a hit with a bike. Too bad it's been raining all day long. Maybe we can try it outside tomorrow. She was quite excited when she saw her Dad bringing the bike down the stairs!
Foofa before her make-up...
...and after.
Blowing out the candles.
First present!!
A music box from Great Grandma.
TARGET! TARGET! TARGET!
Tissue paper!! She couldn't even see what was inside at this point.
Here comes the bike!
Posing beside her bike.
All in all it was a good day. She won't ever remember the fun and the chaos, but hey, even the most relaxed parties for two year olds aren't for the two year olds, are they? Now let's get to playing with all this stuff!!

Soooooo Much Fun! It looks like she had a great time. This is a girl who knows what she likes, shopping, new wheels and a pink cake. Party's are so much fun, give her a year or two and the whole picture changes drastically.
Glad you had a fun time. The cake turned out so cute! Good job, mom! I am sure she loved all the presents and will love the bike when she learns to ride it.
Loved her reactions to all of her presents! What a cutie.
