New Talents

Lately T has an obsession with the camera. She will usually let us get one picture taken of her and then we must hand the camera over to her. This is one of her usual shots.
She is also a champion mess maker. Every day she tops herself as to what messes she makes. It's an especially gold medal day when the couch becomes part of the mess. She is quite proud of her accomplishments.
As a precursor to this next picture, most Sundays are a rush to get ready and T doesn't always like to sit still when it's time to get her hair done. So I will put on her favourite show and she will sit still and let me get her hair done. Well, yesterday, I was sitting on the couch reading and she was playing with her computer when she asked Mark for all of her hair stuff (that was on the counter). Item by item she brought everything down to me, snuggled herself onto the couch between my legs, looked back at me and said, "show?" Then she got up and found the remote and handed it to me with a big smile. Mark said he thought she deserved to watch a show. So we watched a show while I did her hair. Don't worry we didn't go out like this, but it was fun to braid all of it!
Lately, she has been obsessed with her stuffed animals and sitting them all at the table. This morning, she'd put her friends in their places, found an empty bowl, poured her fruit snacks in it, and made herself comfortable, tiara and all.
She has quite the personality and amuses us daily. She loves to read and is on a Green Eggs and Ham kick right now. I think she could read it all day long if we let her. Her vocabulary has also taken off and will repeat just about anything you ask her - Mark has been put on the permanent censor button! Her latest is "wha appen?" when she sees something or someone says uh-oh! Her face always shows quite a lot of concern when something happens!
She is a little helper and will help me put the laundry in the washer/dryer, put away groceries, carry things up the stairs, anything that I am doing pretty much.
Her new favourite game is running/walking/jumping around the kitchen island, and it is even more fun when Dad does it with her (it wears Mom out too fast). Although she has been known to do it all on her own for 10 minutes at a time. As she goes along she yells walk, run or jump, as she goes. I don't know how she doesn't pass out when she is done!
We're hoping the warmer weather is here to stay so we can get outside some more and get back to the park. The snow is still here and a lot of paths are still covered, so it is not quite play ready for us, but hopefully soon!
So there is a little update for now. Next weekend is Yo Gabba Gabba live...I am not sure who will be more excited, Tennyson, or us watching her, but either way it should be a great, fun time!!
