I know it's not Easter yet, but since we will be out of town next week, and we won't be going to regular church, we gussied T up in her Easter finest and hauled her off to church.
When we got home I decided we needed pictures in her cute coat and dress and took off for the yard. Thankfully the sun was out to make it look warmer than the actual 48 degrees, but you have to suffer for fashion, right?
This Easter proved a little trickier than last year. Our subject did not want to sit still, and unlike last year, was able to get up, run away and prove difficult. Luckily for some reason when her Dad came around she would sit still long enough for me to snap off 2 or 3 shots. She was much more interested in seeing the pictures than sitting for them. Which made it difficult to get her to stay still rather than making a bee line for the camera.
So, here is what we wound up with. One or two good ones, a few total Tennyson ones and many, many "personality"shots."
Just for comparison sake, here are a couple pictures from Easter 2009...I don't think she's changed that much, do you?

Easter 2010...same local, same subject, totally different picture taking experience! Her model pose..not sure how I even got her to stand still long enough to pose.
Same rock as last year...except now instead of worrying she would fall off backwards, we couldn't get her to stay on it!
Mom and T...not the best picture, but between her pulling my hair and my dress, this is what we will go with. (don't worry my hair is being cut and will hopefully look a million times better tomorrow)
Dad and T. A much more cooperative little girl with her Dad...go figure.
Running away...
A second of stillness before a mad dash for the camera.
Giving up altogether...
but then Dad comes in the room, and we stick the curtain in our ear. At least we got some sort of a smile.
Who knows what next year will bring. I can only imagine what trying to take pictures of an almost 3 year old and a 9 month old will be like.
